Privacy Policy

Y3LO is a casual game for spotting yellow vehicles. We've designed it to collect as little personal data as possible. This page explains exactly what we do and don't store.

What we collect

• Your handle. A nickname you choose on signup. You don't give us your name, email, or phone number.
• Spot events. When you tap "I spot yellow", we record the timestamp, optionally a vehicle category (taxi, bus, etc.), and — only with your explicit permission — the device's coarse GPS coordinates so the live feed can show approximate locations.
• Photos you take in the app. If you participate in a Chain, the photo you snap is uploaded to our storage so other chain members can see it. Photos are stored with a random key and are not labeled with your identity beyond the chain they belong to.
• Crew membership. If you create or join a Bingo crew, we store the crew code, name, and which handles are members.

What we don't collect

• Your email address, phone number, real name, or date of birth.
• Your contacts, calendar, microphone, or browsing history.
• Advertising IDs (IDFA / GAID).
• Behavioural analytics or session replay.

Permissions we ask for

• Camera — to snap a yellow car for a Chain. We only access the camera while you're actively in the capture screen.
• Photo Library — optional, for picking an existing photo of a yellow car.
• Location (When In Use) — optional, to tag where a spot happened on the live feed. You can deny this and the app still works.

Where your data lives

Y3LO is hosted on Cloudflare Workers, D1 (SQLite-compatible database), and R2 (object storage), with infrastructure spread across Cloudflare's global network. We do not transfer your data to third parties for marketing.

Children

Y3LO is rated 4+ but does not knowingly target children under 13. The game involves no chat with strangers; the only social mechanics are friend-to-friend chains and crew-based bingo using shareable codes you control.

Deleting your data

You can delete your handle and all associated spots, chains, and bingo cards at any time by emailing [email protected] with the subject "delete my account" and your handle. We will erase within 7 days.
